The Scythe HQ01-BK-3.5 fan controller works well, is easy to wire, and only has a 12V input to power up go four three-pin fans. Instead of occupying an optical drive bay with a form factor of 5.25", this can mount in a hard drive cage of 3.5". Control your fans, choosing to run them at their fastest or as quiet as possible or anywhere in between. The analog control is arguably better than any touch-screen counterpart. Up to four fans can be hooked onto their device to control their RPM, balancing speed with noise. This comes in at a low price and is a convenience everyone should have.
