This LG 24x internal dvd burner gives your PC dual layer burning power. The dvdrw doesn't need a driver to install under Windows but you may want to install DVD/CD burning software (sold separately) to be able to write to disks. This unit allows you to burn dual layer media for the maximum file sizes & data recording. DVD+/-RW offers a cheap and easy solution as an optical drive for your PC so buy it, install it, and use it as a DVD reader / writer that flat out works.
