Bi-directional IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE Converter. The Syba SD-ADA50016 IDE to SATA converter is a unique bi-directional SATA to IDE adapter that lets you connect a drive that is either SATA or IDE to either a SATA or IDE port on your motherboard. So, for example, if you have a 3.5" SATA hard drive and need to connect it to an IDE port this would work. This sata to ide adapter also works if you have a 5.25" IDE DVD Drive and need to connect it to a SATA port on your motherboard.
